Sacred Geometric Seals
The Interdependence Nature of Cosmology and Human Development
In ancient wisdom traditions, such as, Vedic, Buddhist, or the esoteric section of monotheistic Abrahamism, cosmic evolution and human development are perceived as one. It is depicted to be in constant change with world systems arising, abiding and dissolving in endless and beginningless cycles.
These sacred geometric seals are an expression of human development and the journey from primordial wisdom to re-discovering our true nature or traversing the path towards full transformation.
Each stage of evolution of consciousness, or the development of sense of self, is depicted in each seal’s sacred geometrical formation. Starting with the first seal, the transformation of form from seal to seal gives a vivid picture of the stages of human evolution. The first three seals, called by the Rosicrucians Saturn, Sun and Moon, represent the past three stages of evolution. What is called Saturn and Sun here is not the same as our current Saturn and our current Sun; they are instead phases of evolution. Our present evolution stage is Earth, and there will be three more evolution stages, called Mercury, Venus and Jupiter.
The seven seals help us understand the dynamics of metamorphosis, the development of meta awareness, and the opening, or coming fully into being process of mind consciousnesses. We can engage with the seals as an experience of metamorphosis of form and the inner journey of spiritual or mind development. The seals are designed to relate and metamorphose into one another. The seven seals are part of a seemingly whole but in reality made of many parts that are interdependent with distinct stages that keep on rotating, changing and evolving.
We can contemplate on these seals, their pattern of rotation and metamorphosis and the implication of each shift on human development. We may alternate understanding, reflecting, visualising and meditating on each seal and the shift from one form to another.
The seals also serve as a reminder of the nature of reality: Everything exists in relation to something else; It is constantly changing, arising, evolving, abiding and dissolving. We discover the metamorphoses of our human experience as a journey of awakening.
